We LOVE Keystone Science School!

I have spent the last two days at Keystone Science School, chaperoning my son's 5th grade class, and trying to capture as many images as I could to "document" the week in photos. I also played a little with lenses and settings best for snow photos.

I learned a lot about snow that I didn't know.... I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids!

Last 2 days of the school year.....2009!

The last couple days of the school year has been pretty exciting here in Summit County, even if it has been raining nonstop all week!

Monday was Field Day - usually a beautiful June day on the playground, no work, just playing time. This year it was pouring rain, so "Field Day" was held inside! From the photos, you can see that it was still ALL FUN and all playtime and the kids really didn't notice that they weren't outside!

and the following day, my baby Heather was promoted from 5th grade, on her way to middle school in the fall! Apparently we don't call it graduation, but promotion, or advancement, or continuation, and I'm not really sure why, but here's the

Grand Opening of the Howling Coyote Coffeeshop!

Today was the Grand Opening of the Howling Coyote Coffeeshop here in Summit Cove, Dillon, Colorado! It's great to have a local coffee shop, and with such GREAT coffee! And great staff! (OK the smoothies and the breakfast sandwiches are pretty good too!)

And the owners are the best, locals here in Summit Cove, and they are going to form a team and support our local efforts for the Dillon CF walk on July 11th! Basically, it's a 1 or 2 mile walk around the neighborhood, but then again, last year's walk raised over $60,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
