Taylor is 14 months old!
Taylor has just celebrated her first birthday, and was as adorable this session as she was at 6 months! And I am so glad that Taylor's mom, Robin, had asked to do photo both in studio AND at the playground, because Taylor really shined at the playground as you can tell! Once she had the wind in her face and freedom to walk about....her smile and curiosity were peaked!

I love doing sessions like this! View the full slideshow here!

Jacob Turns One!
Jacob turned one last week & most of the neighborhood came to his birthday party! We tried for one photo with his whole family including two cats and a dog, and this is the best we could get! But Jacob himself is pretty good at smiling at the camera! Especially with some helpers behind me! Thanks Cait & Heather!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

"Thanks for helping me celebrate my party," says Jacob (if he could say more than mama, dada, dog, cat, etc.!)

Katie Turns 21 months!
Actually Katie turned 21 months before Christmas, but her portraits and a big canvas print were a surprise Christmas present for her dad! So I couldn't share them here!

As most toddlers, Katie is starting to like her freedom, and I can't always get her to stay on the backdrop with the lights....so I've started following toddlers around my house trying to catch them in action wherever it happens! Below are some of my favorite shots. This first one of Katie & Mom was printed as a large canvas!

This last one with the wild hair was from a supply of balloons I had in the studio and Katie loved playing with them - this is the only challenge with those balloons! Crazy hair!

Baby Portraits at Christmas for Elijah..........
Elijah came back to the studio this month for more baby portraits.....he was in for his 6 Month Portraits earlier this year and is cute as ever since he turned one!

We had lots of props and stimulation, including a set of balloons in the studio, his dog came in for portraits, and I love the ones where he's riding piggyback on the dog. And then the few with the dog alone with Santa and the reindeer antlers are precious! (that was during a moment that Elijiah was running off somewhere & the dog was the most willing subject at that moment!)

Fall Family Portraits - The Sander Family!
Ben and his parents came out for a little fall portrait session in the leaves. I love when toddlers just start to walk....every step is fun and exciting, and there is so much to explore....that's why parks are great places to go, especially when there's wide open grassy spaces to run in!

The river was a bigger challenge....we got some great shots of just mom & dad by the river's edge....but Ben was way too taken by the water & the noise & the possbilities there!

Oh to be a toddler again & explore the world for the first time!

Happy Birthday Ben!
Ben turned one today and boy did he have fun! His mom invited 9 of his buddies over (mostly from a mom's group) and they went for it! I love these kind of children's birthday parties! So much action! And it was great that all the mess was contained OUTDOORS!

You can view the whole SLIDESHOW HERE!

Happy Birthday Ben!

Ben's Grandpa was such a sport when I asked him if he would pose for this last photo! He didn't know until after the photo that the hat said "I am One" and then he laughed and said, "Actually I'm closer to One Hundred!"
