Tubbs Romp to Stomp 2010 held last Saturday!
The 8th annual Tubbs Romp to Stomp was held in Frisco last Saturday and was another amazing success! 2,200 snowshoers romping to Stomp out Breast Cancer for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. We raised over $100,000 for the cause & had lots of fun in the sun and snow as you can see from the photos! It could NOT have been a more beautiful Colorado day!

The event slideshow is here....

And all 500 images can be viewed online in this Pictage album. Charlotte Geary, another Colorado photographer photographed with me and her photos can be viewed online at www.charlottegeary.com. THANK YOU Charlotte!

I feel honored to have photographed four of these events in past years - they are such a wonderful gathering of amazing people all helping to Stomp out breast cancer.

If you're still interested in donating, it's NOT too late! I would recommend donating to my friend, Kristen Harris. Kristen's Tubbs donation page, and her 9News story. Some local Summit County teams that would love some donations are:

Summit School District
Snap Fitness
B Casapulla - 2nd place in donations at $4,500 and romping in memory of Nancy Ring!
The Dam Brewery

Almost time for the Romp to Stomp 2010
I've had the privilege of photographing two Tubbs Romp to Stomp events over the last couple years, and this year will photograph two more.

This Saturday Feb 6th I'll be photographing the Utah Romp to Stomp at Mountain Dell Golf Course between Salt Lake City and Park City.

And March 6th I'll be photogrpahing the Frisco Romp to Stomp for the 3rd year in a row!

You can sign up for either event online at the Tubbs Romp to Stomp website and you can even sign up as a "snowed in snowshoer" if you can't make the event but still want to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

If you want to donate directly to a participant - I recommend donating to Kristen Harris - a beautiful young mother of two that I met at last year's romp, and she was participating just 10 days after her lumpectomy! She's doing great & hoping to raise even more money this year - please help!

Some fun photos from past events and a great slideshow...

Great Pink Glove Video for Breast Cancer Awareness
A friend forwarded this video yesterday that I LOVE! Employees at the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland created this video called the Pink Glove Dance Video all with staff and to the song Down, by Jay Sean. I think it's brilliant!

Both ABC news and Fox News have more details about the video online. Apparently it was done as a promotion for Medline gloves and Medline was to donate money to the hospital and provide free mammograms if there were over 1 million views. Since the video first aired in mid-November, there are almost 5 million views on Youtube!

What a feel good video! I like the janitor especially!

And what a great opportunity to enlist some more snowshoers for this years Tubbs Romp to Stomp to be held on March 6, 2010 at the Frisco Nordic Center! Registration information online at:

Photographing the Tubbs Romp to Stomp 2009
Saturday was the 7th annual Tubbs Romp to Stomp Fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and they had a record breaking 2,200 participants! I was lucky enough to photograph it again this year & it really is a beautiful, heartwarming event. People are so happy and have such a great time!

Click here for the whole slideshow

The costumes are just wonderful - I don't know where people find some of them! I think the pink tutus were new this year. I myself donned bunny ears, and I found the subjects were even more animated if they saw I was participating in the festivities myself!

Several of the individual awards for most donations were:

B. Casapulla of Frisco won a Copper Mountain Season Pass with over $1,600 of donations this year! She's celebrating here with her new ski pass!

and the first place went to Jill Overdorf raised over $4,600!

And donations are still being accepted at:

More photos can be viewed online HERE!

And a Summit Daily News article coverage of the event!

frisco colorado photographer, summit county photographer

They came to Frisco, Colorado this past Saturday.....
They came to Romp to Stomp out Breast Cancer....
They came by the thousands, 2,200 to be exact.

There were women and men, boys and girls, and lots of babies!
They came with their mothers, their grandmothers, their grandfathers,
Their daughters, their dads, their aunts, their uncles,
Their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and bosses.

They came wearing pink, they came wearing hats, crowns, and pink boas. They came wearing Dr. Seuss "Cat in the Hat" hats, bunny ears, and even lawn ornaments!!

And they were all smiling! BIG BIG BIG Smiles!

They all came to Stomp out Breast Cancer! As a group, they raised over $100,000 - the fundraising is still going on - you can still donate at the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

And all of our photos (305 of them) are available for sale with 50% of the print sales going to the Romp to Stomp. CLICK HERE to see all 305 photos!

Or you can view the SLIDESHOW here.

These three beautiful ladies claim to be the OLDEST participants in the Romp, I believe one of them said she was 83 years old:

Thanks to John Heisel of Heisel Photo in Denver who assisted me with the photography. More information about the event at the
