Jessica and Dan's Amazing Donovan Pavilion Wedding!

Jessica and Dan were married August 14th at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail.... what an absolutely amazing day! It started out with a yoga session at 8am taught by Kelly Frechette, and then the day just took off all on it's own.

The weather was very cloudy and bleak looking early in the day, with a few light showers, but the clouds parted right at ceremony time and the sun was so bright it was sometimes TOO bright for our cameras! What a fun wedding party - I love the fact that Dan had his sister, Carmell as a groomswoman rather than a bridesmaid, and she made a beautiful addition to the men! The shoes are just a riot! What better attire for being on your feet all day - too bad the ladies couldn't wear those sneakers!

And the Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado was a perfect location to hold a wedding!

Winter Park Magazine Feature on Sunspot Wedding

I'm published! I've never had a wedding published in a magazine before, but this month the WINTER PARK MAGAZINE is out on racks with an article about Neal and Libby's June Wedding at the Sunspot! It was a beautiful day and so nice to photograph great people like these two!

Blue Sky Lodge - Beautiful New Property In Breckenridge

I had the opportunity to photograph a brand new property in Breckenridge last week, called BLUE SKY. It is beautiful high end construction (built by TCD) right at the base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge, with the SnowFlake Life right out the back door. Here are a few of my favorite images.

A Snowy Mountain Top Fairytale Wedding........

I have the most romantic wedding story to share........sit down & take a deep breath & put on your romantic hat! This was a moment meant to be on Monday afternoon here in Summit County, Colorado just after we had gotten 3 feet of snow and the sun came out to SHINE!

I was doing a senior portrait at my favorite overlook spot, SAPPHIRE POINT, and when we finished up, another car pulled up. By their gorgeous attire, I could tell that they were going to get married, and then I noticed the Officiant, Gretchen Abernathy, who had married my husband and I 12 years ago!

The mother of the high school senior asked...."Do you have a photographer? Because Kay is a wedding photographer!" And the couple, Christa & Cole, looked at each other & said, "No, come along with us!"

So I spent about 20 minutes photographing their most spectacular union on top of Swan Mountain and I truly think there was magic in the air! Can't you tell from these photos? And I think I was supposed to be there documenting the moment! And I may have two new friends, Christa & Cole - aren't they adorable?

I think this was a most perfect fairytale wedding! Maybe someday I will learn their love story, but for now I can only guess! But I can tell that they are truly in love...as it just radiates in the photographs!

Jill and Ryen's Breckenridge Wedding Photos Online!

Some weddings are harder to edit than others....this beautiful wedding has taken me weeks to edit, because we have so many good photos to choose from! And there were so many beautiful children at the wedding - it's hard NOT to publish them all! But over the years we've learned that you do no one any favors by giving them THOUSANDS of choices! We finally edited this one down to 630 photos!

This last photo makes me smile about siblings....when you get four siblings together, there's always a little silliness that comes with the photos. But that's what weddings are all about! A lot of love & a lot of fun!
