Another AMAZING successful fundraiser for CF - Bash at the Basin!
Last night was the 1st Annual Bash at the Basin - a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. Xtreme skiers, Jossi and Byron Wells, and olympic ski champion Jake Fiala were gracious enough to attend the event and donate ski lessons which brought in thousands of dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the live auction.

The event was a smashing success - you can view the event slideshow by clicking here........

and if you dare you can view all 220 event photos here....

Thanks to Julie Charneskie for dreaming this idea up and making it a reality!
Thanks to Arapahoe Basin for hosting the event and helping us raise funds!
Thanks to Jossi and Byron Wells for all the signatures, photos, smiles, and inspiring so many of us!
Thanks to Jake Fiala for going above and beyond - when his ski lesson was at live auction and two bidders were fighting around the $800 mark, he offered a second lesson so each bidder could have a lesson with him!
Thanks to Rojos Calientes for playing the night away for us!
Thank you to all the volunteers that helped and all the attendees who donated. Thanks to all the businesses and individuals that made this a GREAT event including Peggy Hiller, Chris Rybak, Beth Walters, Cathe Sander, Julie McCluskie, Wild Ernest Sports, Columbine Sports, Podium Sports, CBS4 News, Jared Polis, Nissa Erickson, MaryPat Cropper and Ebert Childrens Clinic.

Emily & Geoff's Wedding Photos Online!
Emily and Geoff's wedding at Arapahoe Basin was so much fun! The ceremony itself was blessed with both snowflakes and sunshine! Because both of them like to ski so much, the Basin was a perfect place to hold the wedding! We even shot their engagement photos on skiis last winter!

Both of them are happy, easy going people, and I just love all the smiles and happiness in each photo! It's infectious! (and that's not always the case with a couple of brainy engineers!)

View the WHOLE SLIDESHOW here - it's 5 minutes long! How could I cut out any of those beautiful photos??

And the scene where Geoff is going to jump into the arms of the bridesmaids is priceless....I love the first photo where Emily's face shows great concern....she knows he would do it! Even the ceremony had some really great laughs that made the day that much more fun! The snowflakes added a little fun too!

Congratulations Emily and Geoff & thanks so much for having me as a part of your special day!

Oh yes, and this last photo is Emily showing off her beautiful bruise for wedding day that she got at the shooting range the week before the wedding....(note to self....remind other beautiful brides NOT to go to the shooting range the week of their wedding!)

A sneak peek of Emily & Geoff's ABasin Wedding!
I am still busily editing photos from Emily & Geoff's wonderful wedding at Arapahoe Basin last month....but thought I would give everyone a sneak peak! more to follow this week!

Emily & Geoff's engagement photos were so fun at Keystone Nordic Center last March....and they are such an adorable couple....of course their wedding photos are amazing!

Sometimes it can be tedious to edit wedding photos....I have 600 proofs so far with Emily & Geoff's....but I really love every moment of editing, because this couple and their friends are so happy and so relaxed...it's FUN to do the editing! And I smile throughout! I guess photographing at one of the most beautiful places on earth helps that too!

Fun Photo Assignment on Skiis!
I had the best assignment this week - taking photos of a member of the US Snowboarding team, Callan Chythlook-Sifsof from Alaska. I tried to get out on the hill an hour or two several days during their training. What a wonderful group of young peole and what talent!

The group has been training for two weeks at Arapahoe Basin and you could tell they were tired at the end of two weeks! Callan competes in the boardercross event - so they are carving and flying down the mountain at top speeds! It was a pleasure to be in their company - and I hope to be watching some of them compete in the 2010 Olympics!

My favorite images are in the SLIDESHOW and a few posted below......

The first image is of the instructor, Thedo Remmelink, a competitor in the 1998 Olympics in Nagano with Callan listening intently in the background.

It's hard to believe that there is this much snow (almost no bare spots) on May 23rd! What an amazing winter! I also found some VIDEO FOOTAGE online from a day of their training session the week before.

I will be posting more images over the next few days and all can be viewed HERE ONLINE!

We are blessed in Colorado's High Country!
We are truly blessed here in the High Country of Colorado. These images were from a school day last week - yes a SCHOOL DAY! Winter Recreation programs have been a big part of our school district's programs over the last years - helping Elementary School kids learn to love the winter and all that the great outdoors has to offer in winter months!

I am blessed to be a part of this local school district and joined my own 8 and 10 year old kiddos at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area last Thursday! It was a perfect day & perfect conditions! Who could ask for more?

That I get to photograph a wedding this summer at Arapahoe Basin - only 12 miles from my own house, 11,000 vertical feet at the base, 13,000 feet at the top, and some of the most perfect mountain views you can find! I AM blessed!
