Earth Day Every Day Earth Week Every Week
I find Earth Day & Earth Week an exciting time every year. Maybe because it's spring and I can really feel the earth again.....maybe because it gives me renewed hope and energy to live more sustainably.
As a photographer, I am also motivated to do things more environmentally at this time each year. I've connected with a new "green" wedding album supplier, and am just getting my first samples in. White Glove Books is now offering these Eco Books:
The other things we have done in the last year are offering a Green Package for each of our wedding packages. This is an all digital package with no hard copy proofs or proofbooks, just online proofing. And it cuts the cost of the packages by more than $100.
And some things happening here in our own community lead by the High Country Conservation Center.

Bring the whole family to the Skyline Cinema in Dillon to see the premier of Disney's new movie "Earth." You'll be inspired this Earth Day and have the chance to talk to some of Summit County's environmental organizations to find out what you can do to help make a difference for our world. Contact the theater for specific show times and movie ticket prices.

Energy Solutions Panel
Join experts in renewable energy and energy efficiency to find out if a home energy retrofit or renewable energy system may make sense for you and how you can get involved to help make Summit County a leader in renewable energy. Panelists will cover the economics of different energy solutions and share the latest in tax credits, rebates, and incentives. Presented by Renewables In the Summit Environment (RISE).
Earth Day Action Fair - Saturday, April 25th, 10am to 2pm at the Frisco Community Center!
Join environmental organizations, green businesses, and artists for this annual fair. Admission is free. Workshops, demonstrations, and booths will highlight simple and effective actions you can take to celebrate Earth Day every day.
The 2009 Earth Day Action Fair will feature:
More than 30 booths showcasing a variety of earth-friendly actions and products that will help you live a little greener
Fun children's activities
The presentation of the 2009 Green Scene Awards
Demonstrations on various green living subjects such as backyard composting and green cleaning
Demonstrations of solar technology and much, much more!
