We are blessed in Colorado's High Country!
We are truly blessed here in the High Country of Colorado. These images were from a school day last week - yes a SCHOOL DAY! Winter Recreation programs have been a big part of our school district's programs over the last years - helping Elementary School kids learn to love the winter and all that the great outdoors has to offer in winter months!
I am blessed to be a part of this local school district and joined my own 8 and 10 year old kiddos at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area last Thursday! It was a perfect day & perfect conditions! Who could ask for more?
That I get to photograph a wedding this summer at Arapahoe Basin - only 12 miles from my own house, 11,000 vertical feet at the base, 13,000 feet at the top, and some of the most perfect mountain views you can find! I AM blessed!

How fun! What a great opportunity! The mountain looks beautiful and the kids look great! Wait til yo get them whipping down the mountain!
Looks like a blast! The mountain image is gorgeous!
So cool Kay. I got my first snowboard in 1987! Things are a lot different now and the kids will love growing up with this a part of their lives.

Hey thanks for all the comments guys - Matt, I think you & Enna SHOULD come out & ski or snowboard! Notice there are no photos of me snowboarding.....although I do it (with my kiddos) I'm still on the bunny hill & I always hear creaks & cracks when I fall! It sure it tough to get old!
how nice this must be. i moved to a hill-less 'city' and am missing skiing every week more & more each winter.
What a beautiful day in the Rocky Mountains made even more beautiful by the joyful faces of the skiiers. When you experience a day like that, don't you feel you can do just about anything?
Oh, sweet! I really need to get out and take some photos of my boys out in the snow.....
