SNOW DAY!
FRIDAY, December 7th, 2007
Here in Summit County, Colorado, we had a SNOW DAY! The schools were closed, businesses were closed....and we are watching the snow pile up minute by minute. In our neighborhood we think we have 30 inches in 48 hours & there are no signs of stopping! At this moment the children are snowmobiling up & down the street in front on the neighbor's snowmobile!
All my outdoor portrait clients have cancelled this week, except for my two favorite subjects, Heather & Tyler & the snowman they built today! If the kids are 4 1/2 feet tall, the Snowman (yet to be named) must be 9 feet tall! They had to call for some adult muscle to manhandle this snowman!
WE LOVE SNOW! And especially SNOW DAYS!

Kay, that is just awesome. It definitely hasn't been doing that here! My studio is in the basement so I'm not completely positive what it has been doing today, but we only has a couple inches on the ground when I left this morning. Have fun, I love when it gets like that! I'm sure the resorts are excited! :)
Oh, and by the way... that snowman is amazing!!! It's huge!! The kids should be VERY proud!
Yes, my husband (bearing my BRAND NEW NIKON D300) on P mode is very proud that these are REAL Elk Antlers on this snowman taller than the kiddo......
I could think of a few other places that the new D300 could be used.....
the skiing will be awesome this weekend! fresh powder. love it.
What great shots of a fun day. The snowman an is awesome. What camera was used for this shot?

It looks like you guys had quite a bit of snow, we are getting a little in Denver; but nothing like that. That is a great snowman, the kids did an awesome job.
We had a tiny bit of sleet last night on our way to the Tennessee Christmas PUG and got very excited! Ha. You guys have the BEST weather. Looks like fun! give the kids a hug. Joan
WOW, that is soooo cool! Bet everyone is having a blast! I wish had some snow like that!
Wow Kay!! Looks awesome! I love huge snow storms. Wish we got more.
Thanks for all the great comments everyone! It is fun & 24 hours later, still snowing like CRAZY!!!
KTJ - it was my brand STINKING new Nikon D300 that the photo was taken with, but I think it's the Elk antlers that my husband added to the snowman that really make it special!
We LOVE SNOW!
We don't have that much snow in Michigan yet!
Hey I can see my house from there!
