Capturing the Toddler Moments.......
As a photographer, it is often hard to photograph young children - they just don't understand what all the fuss is about! I find babies easy, and older children easy - but at the toddler years, they just want to RUN and PLAY and assert their newfound power in life!

So rather than fight the toddlers, I choose to follow them around and catch them in action! It sometimes takes a little extra energy, a little higher shutter speed, and some real patience, but it seems to work.
During this family photograph last week, we had a two year old who did NOT want to sit - so the rest of the family would get into position and let her run around until she was READY & she would jump into the photo & I would snap the photo! Some of them are my favorites, because we captured her true spirit, rather than a pose of hers!

Working with children can be both amazing and exhausting! I love the expression of personality in these images. It is far more memorable than a "perfect" toddler with a fake smile. Great work!
You did an awesome job capturing their fun personalities! Image #3 is just too cute & fun :)
